Are you a woman who wants to build rewarding relationships with yourself and others? Do you feel as if you put others' needs over your own more often than not, and you're feeling depleted because of it? We often end up in negative relationship cycles due to things such as poor mental health, trauma, systemic challenges, feeling stuck in certain roles, people pleasing, and having difficulty setting boundaries. Together, we will endeavor to process your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors on an individual basis as well as through the lens of your larger social context.

Hello. I believe choosing to begin counseling is a sign of both courage and hope. To me, engaging in therapy means that you realize that feeling better is a possibility for you. In our work together we will explore your thoughts, feelings & actions in a curious, compassionate and sometimes even playful manner. Together we will discover ways for you to understand yourself better, maximize your strengths & make positive changes in your life. My particular areas of interest include working with teens (17+) & adults facing relationship issues, grief/loss/critical illness, life transitions, anxiety, depression &/or parenting challenges.

What would your life look like if you were kinder to yourself? Chances are pretty good that you could use a little more self-compassion. You've always been hard on yourself, which has helped you achieve your goals and thrive. But even though you do it all and manage well, there’s still a quiet sense that something is missing. Many of the women and moms I work with are juggling ADHD, stress, anxiety, and the invisible load of parenting. And they often feel alone. Instead, we work together to create space for clarity, strategies, and a more fulfilling, supported life! I'd love to help you find balance and ease in this new chapter.

Starting therapy is a meaningful step. My goal is to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment to explore what you’ve been experiencing. I’ve worked with adults in a variety of settings, and one thing I’ve learned is that people do best when therapy feels like a partnership.

After 35 years practicing as a clinical psychologist I have come to understand that effective treatment must be determined specifically for each client and applied in a respectful and cooperative manner. Treatment choices are made based on the uniqueness of the individual, his or her goals, and current life circumstances. They may include behavior therapy, cognitive therapy, in-depth therapy, or couples and family therapy. One treatment modality is not appropriate for all.
