If you're navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or big life transitions, you're not alone—and you don’t have to do it without support. My goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and empowered to heal, grow, and move toward the life you truly want. I am an innovative, accomplished, well-rounded, seasoned therapist and coach with 16 years of practice. I've worked with all age groups and feel comfortable working with challenging issues. In session we can: fix or resolve, reduce stress, get clarity, recover, learn to regulate emotions, sort through life plans, stop worrying or ruminating, heal emotional wounds, eliminate symptoms, discuss root issues, unpack truths, explore existential meaning, or get support. My clients discover why things are how they are, and obtain tools and methods for change. They trust the process of therapy and they trust me to help.

Life can leave us stuck. Anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, or relationships that aren't working. I create a space where you can be honest about what's happening without judgment. My clients say I'm calming but direct, serious when needed but genuinely playful. I believe in speaking truth kindly while trusting you know your life best. I also supervise therapists and schools wanting to serve more deeply. After 23 years of practice, I've learned healing addresses both practical and existential. You don't need to figured it out all at once. Small steps over time. Sometimes change starts with saying "this isn't working"

Psychotherapy is a process of increasing self-awareness, and using what we have discovered to make our lives richer. In order to implement change, the problem must be clearly defined. Human beings are inherently imperfect, understanding our vulnerabilities, our fears ,and our destructive tendencies frees these dynamics to effect change. Absent an awareness of our darker side, we make decisions that are not fully informed and choices that often come back to haunt us. Self-awareness allows us to better understand ourselves and the world. Knowledge is power.

I focus on parents and those trying to become parents. Parenting is demanding and nonstop. Once you think you have it figured out, there is always something new from infants to adult children. It also brings on extra strain in areas such as finances, relationships, careers, and self care. In addition, sometimes family planning does not go as expected. I help parents deal with infertility, miscarriage, loss, etc. Mothers also can have difficult pregnancies, birth trauma, and postpartum depression and anxiety. I'm here to listen, help you identify ways to cope, and help you work through realistic solutions.

Sometimes we feel stuck in patterns we don’t fully understand—like a harsh inner critic, anxiety that won’t quiet down, or emotional reactions that seem bigger than the moment. I use an Internal Family Systems–informed approach to help clients explore the different “parts” of themselves that drive these experiences. Rather than trying to get rid of these parts, we work to understand them with curiosity and compassion. As these inner dynamics become clearer, people find relief from self-criticism and greater emotional balance. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where meaningful change can unfold.

You are exhausted from arguing with your own brain. Traditional talk therapy hasn’t worked, the intrusive thoughts are getting louder, and the cycle of anxiety and compulsions is making your world feel smaller every day. Whether you are dealing with contamination fears, relationship OCD, "taboo" intrusive thoughts, or the rigid perfectionism of OCPD, you do not have to live like this forever.
