You can learn about my practice at my website: www.miriamwaldheterphd.com. I offer a collaborative space to address a range of issues, with a particular interest in working with life's big transitions. For example, people in family changes: entering long-term commitments, parenthood, divorce, or grief; or professionals launching their careers and students formulating their vocational goals. Additionally, I work with the complex intersection between one’s identity and community, including but not limited to LGBTQIA, faith, and immigration/acculturation.
I aim to enhance my clients' agency, satisfaction, and creativity within their lives. We start, together, by looking at how your presenting concerns and symptoms fit into the complex story of your life. I offer a non-judgmental approach that is both warmly supportive and curious. Our work will typically balance a combination of self-reflection and change.
About me: I earned my doctorate at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2012. I then completed a pre-doctoral internship at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School, and postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. In addition to private practice, I also work part-time at the Danielsen Institute at Boston University.
