At Stable Ground, we truly believe in the healing qualities of nature. Unlike traditional therapy, our office may be a sunlit barn stall, a walk through the woods, or a shaded seat under the apple tree. We offer healing with horses through Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Learning. Equine Facilitated work is an experiential approach to treatment in which humans and horses work together within the healing process. Through observation or interaction on the ground with our herd, clients gain insight into their emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Equine Facilitated work benefits all ages, and no previous horse experience needed!

My clients are the ones who look put together on the outside and quietly carry a lot on the inside. Maybe you grew up in a home where you had to be “the strong one,” or you spent years in relationships where you felt unseen or not quite good enough. You might be the person everyone turns to, but when things get quiet you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in old patterns you cannot explain. My style is warm, real, and collaborative. I will not just nod and take notes. I will be in it with you, helping you make sense of your story and practice new ways of being in your life and relationships.

You feel overwhelmed by racing thoughts, struggle with emotional ups and downs, or battle perfectionism that leaves you exhausted. Maybe you're a high-achiever whose ADHD brain feels chaotic behind success, or anxiety whispers lies about your worth. You're tired of people saying "just think positive" or "try harder." You want someone who gets it - who understands your brain works differently, your emotions are valid, and healing is possible. You need practical tools that actually work, not generic advice. Most importantly, you want to feel like yourself again - calm, confident, and in control.

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in health care, trauma-informed care, and perinatal mental health. My practice is grounded in a deep understanding of how identity, early experiences, and structural forces shape the way we show up in our relationships and our lives. Clients I work with are often navigating layered transitions—becoming parents, sustaining demanding careers, managing the invisible labor of caregiving, or re-evaluating what wholeness and fulfillment actually mean.

We all want to feel comfortable and safe. More specifically, most people want to feel effective and confident, especially when it comes to relationships. We want to feel included, appreciated, and loved. Sometimes these things may seem to be out of reach, or you may be struggling with other challenges that leave you feeling stuck, discouraged, or hopeless. Seeking support from someone with expertise relating to the human experience may be what you need to feel more empowered and in control of your life.

How do you decide it's time to seek help through psychotherapy? For many people, the decision is clear; a significant event occurs or disruptive symptoms arise. For others, the decision is less obvious-maybe you haven't been feeling like yourself lately, you worry more than others or just sense that things could be better. As a client-centered therapist, I work with clients on their goals and to join them on their journey to wellness. I offer clinical expertise to provide guidance, new perspectives, and to raise awareness of underlying issues that may be behind current problems.
