I often find that clients come to me when they realize that something in their life isn’t working, even though they might not yet be able to put it into words. Perhaps they struggle with anxiety or low mood; maybe it's more about difficult family or relationship dynamics, or the pressures of parenting or other kinds of caregiving. They want to feel better, but they are also seeking to increase self-understanding, to feel freer, and to be able to make choices that reflect who they truly are.

Inviting you to take a deep breath. Sensing into that part of you that’s wanting something different, or maybe something more. Listening to its words, feeling its tug- or lack thereof- and simply being with it.

Utilizing EEG biofeedback (neurofeedback), therapeutic music and hypnosis, we have a creative approach to individualize a treatment plan for every client. Our practice consists of both children and adults. Primarily the children come to work on ADD/ADHD or autistic spectrum disorders. The adults come for an array of issues: anxiety, depression, migraines, chronic pain and sleep problems. In addition, we work with clients for peak performance, i.e., eradicating barriers from even higher executive, academic, athletic or artistic excellence.

I am a licensed psychologist who enjoys working with people struggling with anxiety or panic, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. I have special interest and experience with LGBTQ and ethically non-monogamous/polyamorous folks. I also offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy and integration. I have been trained in a variety of treatment approaches, but feel most strongly influenced by psychodynamic theories. I find that understanding patterns of thought, feeling, and relating and taking new ownership of them can create real change in one's work, relationships, and emotions.

Experiencing life with anxiety, grief, and trauma is exhausting, especially when caring for others. You long to move forward with ease and connection but spend a lot of your energy on keeping yourself safe. Tension in your chest or a pit in your stomach make it difficult to enjoy pleasure or be present with the good things happening in your life. As a somatic, IFS trained therapist, we can use your body’s signals as a map to discover the parts of you that need attention. These parts that hold painful experiences can be cared for, creating space for more vitality and creativity expressed in a richer, fuller life.

Often, people come to therapy because they are living lives that they never planned on. It becomes clear that difficulties from the past are getting in the way of settling into relationships. I am interested in helping people overcome losses - the loss of time due to depression, the loss of previous versions of oneself due to unresolved feelings, illnesses, or injuries, the loss of relationships that might have succeeded had one been more able to give to or receive from others, and the loss of one's identity due to the demands of work, relationships, or culture. I believe creativity, spontaneity, and humor can contribute to growth.
