I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I offer medication management and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. When working with clients, I use a holistic approach that evaluates medical conditions, personal and family history of psychiatric conditions, and unresolved traumas as contributors to mental health. I offer culturally competent, client-focused psychiatric treatment to patients from diverse backgrounds.
I believe in working collaboratively with clients so they feel empowered in making decisions that improve their mental health. Finding a person's strengths and positive attributes is important in building self esteem. Clients should feel they can ask questions about medications and side effects so they are comfortable on their journey to wellness.
I will ask clients about their families, upbringing, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, educational history, work history, and current relationships. I will also ask about any prior diagnoses and medication histories.
