Dr. Hu is a Duke-trained dual-board-certified psychiatrist, specializing in anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) in adults, college students, adolescents and children. She emphasizes 3Cs in her practice- comprehensive, compassionate, evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Exposure-based approaches are one of the essential components, such as exposure and response prevention (ERP) or acceptance commitment therapy (ACT). She supports clients to live fully and freely, who previously were imprisoned by worries, ruminations, sensitivity to rejection, or constant sense of inadequacy.
Dr. Hu focuses on understanding thoughts and feelings, collaboratively identifying goals, and making a difference in what matters to the client. In addition to psychotherapy, medication management is supplemented when appropriate.
Difficult thoughts and emotions have prevented many from their dreams and fulfilled lives. She holistically incorporate mind-body medicine to support a healthy lifestyle and wellbeing. Remède Therapy builds foundations, utilizes tools and engages clients in making a difference. Please visit Remède Therapy at http://remedetherapy.org
