Originally from Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Los Angeles, California, Yumi brings a multicultural perspective that informs her individualized and culturally sensitive approach to treatment. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma City University, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University.
Yumi began her nursing career as a Registered Nurse in the intensive care unit and has practiced across multiple states, gaining experience with diverse patient populations. She subsequently transitioned into inpatient psychiatry, where she provided care for children, adolescents, and adults across diverse clinical settings.
Outside of her clinical work, Yumi enjoys traveling, hiking, discovering new culinary experiences as a passionate foodie, and spending time with her family and pets.
