About
I'm a child and adolescent psychiatrist based in Manhattan and Queens. Areas of interest include ADHD, behavioral issues, anxiety and phobias, academic, social and family problems. I enjoy doing therapy, i.e. cognitive and behavioral therapy, play therapy and family therapy. Medication is prescribed when clinically warranted. The focus of the practice is working with children, teenagers, and their families.
Credentials: Double boarded by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Specialty fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Teaching (past and present): Family Therapy at the NYU Child Center. Teaching and supervision to MDs, PhDs, MSWs at Beth Israel Hospital. Teaching PhD students at the Ferkauf graduate school of Psychology.
Parent(s) are crucial in affecting a child's life. This is why I tend to include parents in the treatment.
