I am a psychiatrist and graduate psychoanalyst serving OR and KY via telesessions. My clinical work increases capacity to endure and shift challenges in relationships. I work to help understand patterns of distressing conflicts in one or more areas of your life such that you feel less isolated by intense emotions and build new patterns in relating. I find psychotherapy is the best modality for making lasting, real change; therefore, I devote the majority of my professional time for individual psychotherapy cases with and without medication management depending on your needs.
My work is rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy and evidence-based practices. I work with clients challenged by intense and dysregulated moods, substance use, identify transitions, relational pain, and professional limitations. I strive to practice with a respectful and nonpathologizing approach to personal change and recovery.
Meaningful improvement is possible. Starting with an initial consultation, we develop an understanding of your strengths and areas of suffering or improvement. Treatment is tailored to fit you and may include integrating medicine and expanding your personal practices. My primary focus is facilitating positive change through a therapeutic relationship.
