About
I am a Psychopharmacologist in NYC and Fairfield, County, CT specializing in the medical management of depression, anxiety, panic, OCD, eating disorders and ADHD. As an Osteopathic physician, I embrace the belief that the body is an integrated dynamic unit of function where one system effects the other and incorporate this belief into treating patients. My special interest lies in raising awareness of the emerging mental health crisis on college campuses. I believe this is an especially challenging time for young people but the resources available to them while away from home are extremely limited.
I strongly believe in the role diet and exercise play in our mental health. I help patients understand the connection between their lifestyles and their mood and then we discuss ways to make positive changes.
I believe mental health is a disease and malfunction of the brain. While I strongly believe that we can not ignore the impact of our lifestyle habits, coping skills, and stress level on our mental health, I emphatically support the use of psychiatric medication for my patients and am constantly exploring emerging treatment possibilities.
