Vanessa is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Throughout our lives we encounter difficult situations and stressors that can make us feel overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed which can lead to other difficulties. However, Vanessa believes every client is unique and will work with you by evaluating both biological and psychosocial influences which may cause added stress. Her goal is to help you strengthen your overall well-being. During sessions, Vanessa will practice with a person-centered approach with the goal of fostering a trusting and collaborative relationship. She works with clients ages 8-65.
She uses a combination of psychotherapy such as person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy with medication management as well as a variety of holistic approaches such as mindfulness, journaling, diet, and exercise.
Vanessa treats those experiencing ADHD, anxiety, maladaptive coping skills, depression, grief, life transitions, medication managements, obsessive compulsive (OCD), relationship issues, school issues, self-esteem issues, sleep issues, insomnia, stress, trauma, and PTSD.
