I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. I assist patients with a wide variety of concerns, including: anxiety, depression, prenatal and post-partum related disorders, substance dependence, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, thought disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders etc.), dementia with behaviors, and more. I provide care to patients 18 years old to the elderly. In my practice, it is important to me that the patients feel heard and understood. I encourage all of my patients to be active participants in treatment planning to the best of their abilities.
My experience and education qualify me to diagnose, provide psychotherapy, prescribe medications, and review labs. My approach is to get to know you, your history and develop a supportive and encouraging plan. I do not routinely prescribe stimulants or benzodiazepines but can assist with tapering using evidence-based methods.
My goal is to create a space that is welcoming, free of judgement, and to meet you where you are. It is important to me that you are engaged in all treatment decisions and are educated in the process. I provide telehealth psychiatric services with NeuStart Psychiatry & TMS.
