I’m Valerie Markley, and I’m passionate about helping people stabilize their mental health and reach their full potential. As a career nurse, professor, and former Army officer, I bring compassion and clinical expertise in both brief psychotherapy and medication management. Finding the right medication can be challenging, but you don’t have to navigate that process alone—I’m here to walk with you on that journey.
I am passionate about supporting diverse populations living with a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Since 2002, I have facilitated a free, local Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) group twice monthly, helping individuals build resilience and connection within their communities.
Therapy and medication can offer essential support when you’re struggling. Each person’s experience is unique, and I take care to help find medications that are both effective and have the fewest possible side effects.
