Putting your trust in a psychiatric practitioner is no small thing. You may be trusting them to lead you out of a very dark place. Or perhaps you want someone to simply guide you through a short period of your life, getting you unstuck from a mental rut you’re currently experiencing. I believe I can help you in any of those situations.

Even before COVID, they were faced with a massive increase in the information available to young minds, the difficult environment of social media, the rise of cyberbullying and the reduction in time spent face to face with their peers.
I recently left a local Children’s Hospital so that I can see patients in an outpatient setting full-time. Prior to this, I worked with acutely ill patients in crisis on the inpatient units. That experience was very rewarding, but I was limited to working with these patients for only a week at a time while they were in the hospital.

FAQ - In Person Psychiatrists
What are the advantages of in-person psychiatry?
Psychiatrists are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, often using a combination of therapy and medication. For many individuals, working with a psychiatrist who offers accessible and consistent in-person care is an important part of building a strong and effective therapeutic relationship. While remote care has become more widely available, in-person psychiatry offers several unique advantages. Face-to-face sessions can help foster a deeper sense of connection and trust, particularly during the early stages of treatment. In-person visits may also be more appropriate for young children, individuals who benefit from a structured clinical environment, or those with complex mental health needs requiring close observation and coordination of care. Many patients also find that meeting in a dedicated office space—free from the distractions of home—helps them stay focused and engaged during sessions.
How can I find a psychiatrist who offers in-person services?
Psychology Today's online directory is a valuable resource for finding psychiatrists (MDs) and psychiatric nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) who provide in-person services. As you explore your options, consider each provider's clinical expertise, therapeutic style, and office location to ensure their services are a good fit and easily accessible for you.
