There IS immediate help for those who are battling substance use disorder. You do not need to wait in the emergency room for help with withdrawal symptoms, or to find help to stop using. We have an outpatient program that provides everything you need, including in-person group counseling and an outpatient detox center. Personalized care. We also have a Telehealth program for those who prefer this. If you are battling pain, our addiction-free pain management program provides expert spine and musculoskeletal care as well as care for neuropathic pain- all non-surgical procedures performed, and of course primarily non-opiate based.

I work well with individuals who want to understanding the deeper origins of recurrent life problems, and who are committed to meeting weekly or more frequently for therapy. If you are already in quality therapy with another provider, I can support that work with medication consultation at less frequent intervals.

I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with extensive experience providing therapy and medication to adults of all ages. I provide non-judgmental care for clients who want to improve their mental health and wellbeing. I am oriented towards the harm-reduction model and feel it is important to meet each client where they are in their individual mental health and wellness journey. My primary areas of interest are in trauma, substance abuse, and in working with the LGBTQ+ community. My other areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, ADHD, and addiction, among many other mental health concerns.

I have extensive experience helping individuals with substance use issues and other mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, and eating disorders. Working with clients in a variety of settings such as withdrawal management, residential and outpatient treatment programs has allowed me to help people navigate the various stages of change and recovery. Dr. Griffith specializes in providing psychiatric care for men and women aged 18 and older. She completed her undergraduate degree from the University of California Irvine, her medical training at Boston University School of Medicine, and completed her postgraduate psychiatry training at the UCLA-San Fernando Valley Psychiatry Program where she served as Chief Resident in her final year of training. She has worked as an attending at the VA and in county mental health facilities. Her clinical interests are psychotic, mood, trauma-related, substance-use, and adjustment disorders.

Michael They is a board-certified Psychiatric nurse practitioner. He is treating children, adolescent, and adult clients who has Depression, Anxiety Disorders, insomnia, (eg. Panic Disorder, GAD, PTSD, OCD), ADHD, Mood Disorders, bipolar, schizophrenia, substance use disorder and more.

Welcome! I am a board-certified psychiatrist based in San Francisco, with clinical expertise in eating disorders, addiction medicine, and women’s mental health. I’m passionate about helping patients get to the underlying causes of their distress, using a trauma-informed approach that includes psychotherapy techniques, lifestyle changes, and, when indicated, medications. I am a University of Washington and UCSF-trained addiction and general psychiatrist and scientist. I carry a small panel of patients so that I can best deliver comprehensive and personalized care. I specialize in treating complex addiction issues, dual-diagnoses such as ADHD and depression combined with substance use, and behavioral addictions such as gambling. I tailor treatment based on the individual, and I have expertise with both abstinence and harm-reduction approaches to recovery.
