My ideal patient is a person ready to establish a true partnership in their care. Regardless of the conditions or life situations that bring them to me, I enjoy patients who are ready to request help, to honor me with their trust and their stories, to help me understand them as people, not diagnoses. I admire patients who advocate for themselves but are willing and able to place their faith in my abilities; who are invested in changing their lives; and who are interested in learning about the conditions that are impacting their lives and the potential treatments that may help.
I provide medication management and therapy (supportive and cognitive behavioral) to adults (18+) and have extensive training in complex psychiatric conditions, including adult ADHD management, insomnia, anxiety & mood disorders, obsessions, personality disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders, and co-morbid substance use. I enjoy spending time with patients.
I believe in patient-centered care and truly personalized medicine. As a doctor, I obtain my patient's full medical, psychiatric & social history, collaborate to create goals of treatment from the first vist, explore values, aspirations and life goals, provide optimal medication management, and help patients develop skills and strategies to problem-solve.
