***Telehealth visits available*** I am a board certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner that has been practicing in the Austin area since 2013 after graduating with a Master's of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin. I have been working with both children and adults in an outpatient setting treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and behavioral concerns, considering the impact of social, physical, and environmental factors, and encourage client input and preferences in treatment planning.

I am an especially good fit for individuals committed to self-discovery, who are in a place of courage and willingness to do the work of healing.

I aim for a for a collaborative approach with my patients. I wants to work together with each patient to provide holistic care that works. I have a personal interest in overall wellness outside of the treatment plan, which incorporates wellness via nutrition, exercise, sleep, meditative practices, and medication or other medical interventions when appropriate. I'm also a believer in other interventional treatments, such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy. These alternatives not only are proven to be effective, but they also provide more options for each patient.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist currently accepting new patients. My practice is strictly through the use of telepsychiatry which means that all appointments will be held via HIPAA compliant video conferencing software. Many patients prefer this means of treatment as appointments can be done from the comfort of your home or office without the need for lengthy commutes or waiting rooms and it provides access to mental health treatment to patients located in more remote locations. I treat adult (18+) patients located in Colorado, Texas and Washington State though controlled substance prescribing may only be done in Colorado.

My goal is to help my you thrive and become the most self-realized individual you can be. Often that entails at least some level of healing, whether physical, emotional, relational, or even spiritual, before we leverage awareness of the obstacles that stand in the way of living our fullest. My approach to psychiatry is to seamlessly blend medications and therapy so that you can truly live. While medications can be very helpful at times, I don't believe in a magic pill. It is important that you share with me your values and goals so we can also collaborate to find non-pharmacological approaches to helping you thrive.

I am a child and adolescent psychiatrist who attended both my adult and child and adolescent psychiatry training in Austin, TX. I am board-certified in adult psychiatry in addition to child and adolescent psychiatry. I provide assessment and treatment of a wide range of psychiatric issues including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, developmental disorders, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. I have specific training in trauma-informed care and enjoy working with individuals and families. I like to focus on both psychotherapy and medication management approaches to help address the concerns at hand and empower the client.

Amanda Anazia MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner as well as a certified family nurse practitioner. She is a part of the inaugural class of 2012 where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas State University. Amanda obtained her MSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she specialized in Family in 2020. She also obtained a Post-Master’s Certificate from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where she specialized as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021.

Dr. Eagan’s diverse background includes the founding of various institutes that focus on providing specialized and innovative treatment for a variety of psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Melissa Deuter is Psychiatric Medical Director of Sigma Mental Health Urgent Care. She supervises a team of professionals providing immediate psychiatric appointments as well as psychotherapy. Sigma Mental Health Urgent Care takes same day appointments and walk-ins at our San Antonio location, and is open 7 days a week except major holidays. Our Austin location has limited services and we request that you call to schedule in Austin. We treat people during gaps in care, while they are waiting to get an appointment in the community, and we can continue treatment long-term when our clinic is the best fit for an individual's needs.
