Hello there, I am Tracie Grider, a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Virginia. I have over 18 years of nursing experience mostly working in the mental health care field. My approach to treatment is collaborating with my patients to improve their mental health by providing education on the disease process, and medication use, as well as supporting overall wellbeing. I am caring, empathetic, and easy to talk to.
In your first session, we’ll do a full intake, including a review of your history, evaluation of current symptoms, and discussion of your lifestyle and goals. During the evaluation interview I use a combination of CBT and Medication management to promote health and wellness to help you reach a stable more productive life.
I offer evidence-based, conservative care while staying open to cutting-edge advances in psychiatry and integrative medicine. I’m thoughtful but unafraid to explore new solutions when appropriate, and I create a safe, respectful space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported.
