TMS is an FDA‑approved, non‑drug treatment for depression, often recommended when antidepressants haven’t helped enough. It uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation, which are often underactive in people with depression.
Treatment takes place while you’re awake, does not require anesthesia, lasts about 18 to 20 minutes, and allows you to return to daily activities after each session.
