Welcome to my practice. I am a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse board certified as a Clinical Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health. I have 20 years of experience providing psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy and medication management to individuals, couples and families. Previous experience as a critical care nurse for 20 years provides me with additional knowledge of medical illnesses and how they contribute to mental health issues.
My therapeutic modalities include Bowen’s Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic, mind-body techniques and medication management. Each individual is unique and treatment is tailored to his or her needs to achieve the most optimal outcome. I also specialize in EMDR for treatment of traumatic experiences and PTSD.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of psychotherapy. I am passionate about the work I do and consider it a privilege to work with my clients. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive and compassionate environment where we can explore and work together to find solutions.
