I am a psychiatrist that provides medication consultation and management as well as psychotherapy. I specialize in toxic stress, complex PTSD, issues related to women's mental health and ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP).
In therapy, safety must be at the center of the work we do and because of this the therapeutic relationship between patient and therapist is paramount for any healing to take place. I strive to create a dynamic where we work as a team to explore your narrative. I am not a "blank slate" therapist- I provide empathy, understanding, feedback and even humor.
I believe that insight breeds psychological healing. By bringing knowledge of past experiences into conscious awareness, we can work to decrease suffering and identify maladaptive patterns of behaviors and feelings that make life more difficult. Through our work together, we can strive to build you a life that YOU feel is worth living for.
