Seeking out help can be challenging, so feel proud for taking the first step towards healing. I am a licensed psychiatrist offering medication consultation and management, psychotherapy, and combinations of both. I offer insight-oriented care to people dealing with a wide array of mental health concerns and have special clinical interest in treating survivors of trauma, both physiological and emotional, and early attachment/relationship disruptions. Additionally, I prescribe and provide ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) to augment work already being done in psychotherapy.
In therapy, safety must be at the center of the work we do and because of this the therapeutic relationship between patient and therapist is paramount for any healing to take place. I strive to create a dynamic where we work as a team to explore your narrative. I am not a "blank slate" therapist- I provide empathy, understanding, feedback and even humor.
I believe that insight breeds psychological healing. By bringing knowledge of past experiences into conscious awareness, we can work to decrease suffering and identify maladaptive patterns of behaviors and feelings that make life more difficult. Through our work together, we can strive to build you a life that YOU feel is worth living for.
