I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctoral Degree in Nursing (DNP). I currently provide telehealth services to clients aged 18 years and older in the state of Maine. I take a holistic approach to mental health that integrates both medical and therapeutic interventions to support clients' emotional and psychological well-being. I incorporate evidence-based practices to diagnose mental health disorders, provide brief supportive therapy, and prescribe medications to manage symptoms effectively.
I strive to support clients with both acute and chronic mental health conditions in managing symptoms that can make daily life challenging. My specialties include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder, co-occurring substance use & psychological disorders, PTSD, postpartum depression, ADHD, and eating disorders.
During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming environment where they can share their concerns. I begin by gathering a comprehensive history, including mental health symptoms, medical background, family history, lifestyle factors, and any past treatments. We discuss current challenges, goals for treatment, and any questions the client may have.
