In my 45 plus years of psychiatric practice, I have found that diagnosis is not as important as who the person is who is suffering, and what life events have led to this suffering. I find that my formal training turned a blind eye to the traumas people suffer in childhood, and the great extent of physical and sexual abuse my patients have suffered. I am also particularly interested in serving the needs of patients who have deep intuitive skills, i.e. healers and psychics, who are often misdiagnosed. I believe psychiatric medications are useful at times, but often over prescribed.
We provide a holistic approach to improving how our brains work using the NeurOptimal system (see NeurOptimal.com). The system does not diagnose problems or treat them; it trains the brain to work better, to erase old, rigid patterns of thought and feeling with new, more flexible and resilient patterns, leading to serenity and clarity of mind.
I want to get to know you as a person: what are your hopes and fears. How have you learned to cope? I want to find out what it would take for you to be able to thrive, not just survive. We can help with energy psychology practices for anxiety, panic, phobias. We can help find your own inner resources through meditation and shamanic journeying.
