With training in integrative & functional medicine as well as being double board-certified in Psychiatry and Family Medicine, I bring a unique and comprehensive perspective to mental and physical health care. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in a variety of nursing specialties. I am an active member in Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. I aim to provide my patients with the support they need based on their individually unique situations. I hope that my patients feel safe, comfortable and respected in my care.

I believe in a holistic approach to medicine that takes into account one's body, mind and spirit. Wellcova Health is excited to announce that Dr. Katz has joined our team. She brings a vast amount of knowledge and expertise in psychiatric medication management in both pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Rebecca Katz is a Board Certified Psychiatrist. Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Katz received a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Pittsburgh and was a High School Science and Math Teacher as well as an Athletic coach in Pennsylvania for 6 years. She went on to receive a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences with a focus in stroke research from Rutgers’s University before changing careers to study medicine.

Hello! I graduated with a degree in nursing from Santa Monica College in 2009. Since that time, I’ve worked in several hospital settings including intensive care. I finished my first masters degree as and Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2017 from California State University at Dominguez Hills and started managing extremely sick people in a long-term acute care hospital One universal I’ve seen throughout my many different careers in and out of healthcare is that the presence (or absence) of good mental health care spells the difference between success and failure in any environment.

Hi there! I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I have over 13 years of nursing experience and have worked in numerous settings including medical oncology, med surg, surgery, infusion therapy, and nurse navigation. My most recent position before joining Mindful Minds Psychiatry, I worked as a registered nurse on an acute inpatient psychiatric unit where we treated adult patients with various mental health disorders including mood, anxiety, psychotic illnesses, substance use, and disorders requiring acute stabilization.

Hello! I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of Nursing experience beginning as a CNA, then as a bedside Registered Nurse for over 12 years, many of which were spent in the critical care unit where I worked during the Covid pandemic. My experience during that time cemented my need to care for patients in order to prevent them from finding themselves in that setting. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, hiking, and spending time with loved ones when not traveling and learning about other cultures.

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of Psychiatric Mental Health experience, focusing mostly in crisis treatment, alcohol and opioid dependence along with the treatment of schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety.
