Hi, I’m Teresa, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a 10+ year background as a nurse midwife prior to entering psychiatry. I'm also a queer mother of 4 who had to navigate pregnancy and parenthood without receiving the treatment I deserved.
I became a midwife to be a better support to folks navigating pregnancy and childbirth. Then I became a Psych NP to fully become the provider I needed back then, but didn't have access to. Someone who truly listens and fiercely advocates for their patients' needs.
