Dr. Williams is founder of Genesis Behavioral Health, and treats adults, children, and adolescents. He is also an adjunct assistant professor of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In addition to medications and therapy, he believes that a person's growth in faith and relationship with God can be an important part of their healing, especially because many of life's struggles don't have easy answers. ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS! Before becoming a psychiatrist, Dr. Williams began his medical career in Family Medicine, and has a strong medical background. At Genesis Behavioral Health, he works with psychiatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants, so wait times for a new appointment are short.
Dr. Williams also provides an alternative treatment, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, which is a non-invasive treatment that uses electromagnetic fields, similar to those produced by an MRI machine. During TMS, a magnetic field is administered in very short pulses to the part of the brain that research has demonstrated to be associated with depression.
