Hello! My name is Boyd Cowan and I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. My guiding philosophy is to spend the time necessary to understand the root causes of the patient's distress, struggles, or challenges. My hope is for all that I work with to live their best and most satisfying lives. I am comfortable working with most psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, and bipolar disorder.
I am flexible in my patient approach and can adapt my approach to a wide range of conditions, personalities, and orientations. My work with patients is most successful when patients come regularly to appointments, are willing to integrate feedback, and have the motivation to make necessary lifestyle changes to promote recovery
