I am a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who sees patients of all ages both for psychotherapy and medication management. I take pride in how carefully I get to know patients and families. With warmth, humor, and kindness, I perform thorough diagnostic assessments, considering how biologic predispositions, developmental challenges, family dynamics, life stressors, and cultural factors contribute to patients' symptoms. I do extensive psychotherapy myself with patients of all ages, supplementing with medication only when necessary. I also collaborate with other therapists as needed to provide medication management.
I take a holistic approach to working with patients and families. I closely collaborate with parents, schools, pediatricians, and other mental health providers. I never rush patients, but rather take the time I need to listen to them carefully and get to know them. I do play therapy with young children and talk therapy with adolescents and adults.
