Hello. My name is Tamara Starr. I would like to share that I have dual national certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health NP as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I provide medication management in conjunction with brief psychotherapy and lifestyle enhancement strategies, using an integrative treatment plan model for the mental and behavioral health management of clients across the lifespan. Working together to create life-long strategies to help the Client be the best version of themselves. I use compassionate assertive communication, direct and straightforward without being condescending or domineering.
I enjoy helping people feel and live better lives. It has been personally fulfilling over the past 19 years, to be a part of people growing and recovering mentally. Identify problems or concerns first, then create small goals that lead up to the ultimate goal desired. This approach makes "mow hills" out of "mountains."
During our initial session, is primarily information gathering and plenty of questions. I will obtain your history and discuss your expectations and issues at hand. We will then create a plan together, and discuss medication treatment options, that address your concerns. This plan will help to get your life back or perhaps even better than before.
