I find it very fulfilling to work with people who are experiencing depression, anxiety and other mood problems. These difficulties often stem from traumatic past and negative thought patterns and they can be changed. My patients strive to create meaningful lives with sense of purpose, connection with others, joy and serenity. Unfortunately, mental scars from traumatic events, addictions, dysfunctional relationships, brain chemical imbalance and self-defeating thoughts and behavior patterns, are often the obstacles to the life they want for themselves.
I am a practical clinician who is utilizing psychopharmacology to manage my patients debilitating symptoms, while using principles of cognitive behavioral and solution-oriented therapy to mange their long term difficulties, empower and support them in the journey towards their goals.
My patients are always treated with respect, empathy and acceptance. I create a collaborative relationship, where patients points of view, needs and intentions are guiding the entire therapy process.
