Dr. Syed Yusuf is a board‑certified psychiatrist originally from Chicago, Illinois, earned Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University after completing Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Yusuf completed his psychiatry residency training at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, with broad experience across adult, child and adolescent, geriatric, consult‑liaison, addiction, emergency, and inpatient psychiatry. He also completed an internal medicine internship in Florida, strengthening his holistic and medically informed approach to mental health.
He is licensed to practice psychiatry in Texas and specializes in mood and anxiety disorders, trauma‑related conditions, ADHD, and complex inpatient psychiatry, with additional expertise in psychopharmacology, crisis management, and neuromodulation treatments including TMS and esketamine (Spravato).
