She has a history of working with all types of psychiatric illness, from minor anxiety to the most treatment resistant cases.
Dr. Palekar is active in medical education, and has taught students and residents at multiple institutions including Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine and NYU School of Medicine. She is currently on faculty at Thomas Jefferson Medical College. She is an expert in women's psychiatry and is trained in neuromodulation techniques such as ECT and TMS.
