I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and I have been practicing in the mental health field for over five years. My passion is working with individuals who are vulnerable and in a dark place in their lives; to be their advocate, and their voice. To be their safe place. I work with ages 8 years and up. I treat individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, ADHD, and PTSD.
I believe in meeting my clients where they are at, to provide a safe place for them to share their most intimate thoughts and feelings. I incorporate these theoretical approaches into my practice: personal talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
The environment is warm, calm, and compassionate. It's a judgment-free zone where I meet the client where they are. They are the driver of the bus; I am just the passenger helping with navigation on their journey towards healing.
