I’m Susan C. Hunter, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 14 years of experience in mental health care. I was born and raised in the Philadelphia, PA area, and have had the opportunity to serve in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient care, psychiatric emergency rooms, crisis response centers, skilled nursing homes, memory care communities, community mental health, and private practice. My areas of specialization include treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, insomnia/sleep issues, and OCD, among other conditions.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1992, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010, and a Master of Science in Nursing in 2015—all from Temple University. In 2019, I pursued a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post-Master's Certification to further deepen my expertise. I stay up to date with frequent reviews of best practices
