About
Summer Thompson, DNP, PMHNP-BC is an ANCC Board-Certified, Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been working in mental health for well over a decade helping members of the general public, veterans and active-duty personnel to achieve their best possible selves. Summer encourages mental health through a holistic model of health care by treating the "whole " person, not simply symptoms and disease. She achieves this in partnership with her clients through shared decision making, medication management, diet, and exercise.
Summer completed undergraduate degrees from both Gonzaga University and Johns Hopkins University and received her graduate education as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from U.C. San Francisco where she continues to teach as a Professor in the School of Nursing.
She strives to provide a supportive setting to achieve wellness for all individuals regardless of gender, orientation, culture, race or religion.
