I moved from New York in 2015 to be closer to my family and to help raise my children. As most know it takes a village. I will admit the weather and palm trees don't hurt either. I had a further Residency Training at SUNY Downstate Hospital Brooklyn, NY followed by a one year of Child Psychiatry training at the University of Florida. I have a fellowship in psychoanalysis from NYU and a 2 year of psychodynamic psychotherapy training at Willam Alanson White Institute , NYC.

Outpatient Detox - I specialize in the personal and direct treatments for the detoxification of opiates, alcohol and benzodiazepines. I am in recovery and it is important to me that I take a one on one approach throughout the entire process with the patient. I am also available 24/7 during the detoxification period by personal cell phone.

She began her career in 1995, after graduating from the University of Miami and continued on to earn her masters and Doctorate degree in the field of mental health with specialization in both children and adults. Her focus is in rehabilitation, detoxification, and recovery for both inpatient and outpatient treatment centers. Through evaluation and stabilization, she targets treatment for individuals experiencing a crisis situation and those who seek the need for immediate intervention. Kathleen Simervil, a Delray Beach native has been practicing in psychiatric and addiction medicine since graduating PA school in 2018 and has since completed a board examination certifying her in psychiatric medicine. Prior to fully immersing herself into this vast field, Kathleen was also working in family medicine where she was able to provide medical care for a wide array of medical conditions and utilize a variety of treatment modalities.
