I work best with adults who are motivated to understand themselves better through depth psychotherapy. While this motivation often stems from life transition, illness, relationship difficulties, or loss, there are times when we simply feel the urge to go deeper and explore our own minds.

Harvard trained Board Certified Psychiatrist who completed a Harvard residency in psychiatry followed by a Consultation Liaison Psychiatry (Psychosomatic Medicine) fellowship from Boston University. Diverse experience is in various mental illnesses and addiction. We provide services to patients with a wide range of psychopathology that is intertwined with socioeconomic problems.

Welcome. Thoughtful Psychiatry is a group of psychiatric providers devoted to providing a "thoughtful" approach to psychiatric care. The practice consists of multiple psychiatric prescribers that have extensive training in psychotherapy. While we believe that medications can be very helpful, we insist on providing more than medication for our patients.

Dr. Swaminathan Thangaraj is a double-board certified adult and child/adolescent psychiatrist in Boston. He is currently an assistant professor at Drexel College of Medicine. Dr. Thangaraj also worked at McLean Hospital/Harvard University and Sheppard Pratt establishing various inpatient units. He is one of the few doctors who treats patients of all ages from toddler, adolescence to adulthood.

I have more than 30 year of service as senior faculty at Harvard Medical School. Distinctions include receipt of the highest HMS mentorship award. My private practice is at my home office, with privacy and discretion assured. Patients include healthcare professionals executives. My patients and I work together to foster personal and professional growth and development, Medications prescribed when needed. Age range from early adolescents to supe-elder. My practice is an evaluation, consultation, and treatment resource for patients, families and clinicians locally and nationally.

I work in a variety of ways in talk therapy to help you get what you want out of therapy. Most often that involves getting relief from painful emotional symptoms, improving personal relationships, becoming more productive in work, and being freed to take more pleasure from life. Therapy can also help you to gain greater control over your life, or change lifelong ways of coping that just aren't working as well as you'd like.

We are a unique group of psychiatric providers and our approach is a shared decision making model. We utilize a holistic and collaboration approach to empower patients. We allow patient to be part of the team that synthesize a medical and mental model in treatment in other to achieve desired outcome.

Anastasia Burns is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), with a passion for helping others identify and sustain joy, and harmony in their lives. Her practice provides a holistic approach that incorporates her patient’s unique cultural backgrounds, identities, and beliefs into their treatment plans. Anastasia’s practice ideology is centered around patient empowerment, where the provider’s role is to primarily guide and assist. She is rewarded by having the opportunity to create a safe space for her patients to feel heard and supported.

I am a psychiatrist in private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Services I provide include psychiatric evaluation/consultation, individual psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology for adults 18 to 65. At this point, I only provide medication management for patients whom I am working with in a regular psychotherapy. I have an academic affiliation with McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the MGH/McLean Adult Psychiatry Residency Program, where I teach in a psychotherapy course and provide outpatient supervision of residents.

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and a faculty member at Harvard Medical School. I am also a therapist in psychedelic research trials. I offer psychotherapy, which I combine with medication management or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy if and when needed. I have experience working with a diverse range of patients, including immigrants and their families.

People often come to treatment seeking relief and support. Many are curious about patterns in their lives, and want to develop a deeper, more useful understanding of how and why things are unfolding as they are. Leading a fulfilling and happy life can be challenging and may even seem impossible at times. I believe that communicating and connecting via talk therapy is one path towards a happier and more meaningful life. My view is that therapy provides an opportunity to gain insight into one's relationships with one's self, others and society. I use a variety of approaches in my therapeutic work according to what works for each individual person. Together we'll focus on trying to understand the root causes of various problems and repetitive patterns of behavior that are difficult to change.

Steadfast Behavioral Health is a group practice that serves clients throughout Massachusetts. We treat Mood Disorders, Addiction, and other co-occuring health disorders.
