I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, with greater than 20 years of nursing experience. I seek to treat disorders of mood, thought and attention. I currently offer medication management and therapy here on the mid to lower cape. Using a strength-based approach, we will work together to develop a plan of care. Your individualized plan may include therapy, therapeutic techniques, and/or medication.

I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.

Dr. Simjee provides an evidenced-based and holistic approach toward healing mental illness including mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma related disorders, reproductive psychiatry, addiction, and psychosis. His experience spans multiple treatment settings including outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and substance detox. Dr. Simjee has a special interest in teaching and has provided numerous lectures to medical professionals on the intersectionality of mental and physical illnesses. Mackie is a certified nurse practitioner currently working for a level 1 trauma center in Boston. In that role, she has the opportunity to care for a large population of homeless with mental health and substance abuse problems. A large component of the care provided involves the management of the psychological and social aspects through continuity of care and referrals. Many of the clients that Mackie has come to observe, not only have to deal with mental health issues but suffer greatly from the lack of family support, in part, due to the associated stigma of the disorder.

Meet Lynn, an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) with a robust background in both hospital and outpatient healthcare settings. Lynn's career is marked by her expertise in psychopharmacology, addiction medicine, and exceptional customer service. She holds a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, graduating in 2015.

A strong advocate for mental health education, Alicia enjoys working with nursing students and providing clinical instruction in the behavioral health specialties. Alicia’s areas of interest include ADHD, mood disorders, trauma related disorders, and anxiety.
