Hello, I'm Syreeta Spears and I'm a Board-Certified, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with full prescriptive authority. I focus on using a collaborative, comprehensive methodology when treating patients and families. I specialize in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults, and currently only see patients age 35 and under. I provide support and treatment plans for issues surrounding: suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, emotional disturbances, trauma, Bipolar disorder, behavioral issues, sleep problems, troubled thought patterns, difficult life transitions, and attention issues.

Welcome to Murphy Mental Health. Some of the things I can help with include: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety and depression. I work together with my patients on improving wellness by listening and providing options rather than just telling someone what to do. I address care in a holistic manner, integrating use of therapy, positive lifestyle changes, traditional psychiatric medications, supplements and genetic testing-as appropriate.

I established Denver Psychiatric Clinic to add needed space for individuals to focus on issues affecting their mental well-being. Anxiety, mood instability, depression, relationship stress, and general dissatisfaction are often what bring people into treatment but typically represent only the surface layer of why we experience distress the way we do. The purpose of my practice is to create space for exploration of any and all sources of that distress through medication and/or therapy. My objective for each patient is that such exploration facilitates improvement through an increased understanding of themselves.

Dr. Gadgil, or Dr. G (as his clients/families refer to him), brings over a decade of experience as an empathic and non-judgmental psychiatrist. Currently he is accepting clients globally for Life Coaching only and developing classes and writing a book, in addition to supporting the psychiatric team at Unity Mental Health Care (UMHC). UMHC provides on demand assessments for ADHD and other conditions through our psychiatric providers. We all tend to seek help when what we are doing is no longer working, or we feel stuck , dissatisfied or our life is out of control, or someone we care about says that we should get help. I view these pivotal moments as potential moments of alchemy, if we are willing to be mindful with what is, staying with our experience and working through it. Remaining mindFUL allows the experience to teach us what we are supposed to learn, if we are open to it. I am here to support you as you go through your journey, face your challenges, identify patterns with you that keep you feel stuck so that you can be more free to be your best self.

Accepting New Patients - Intake slots are available within 1-2 weeks (updated 2/29/24). Optimal mental health is the goal, not just the absence of disease. The body, mind, and environment operate as a whole. You can’t treat a symptom without addressing the root cause. Extra time allows me to be thorough, listen to your story without interrupting, and discuss treatment plans in detail. This allows me to provide higher quality care and enables you to feel heard and understood in a way you may never have felt before.

If you are struggling with unmanageable moods or emotions, maybe you have tried treatment in the past but it has not worked for you. Please come see me and we can build off your history, making sure not to repeat things that have failed you in the past but rather build from this knowledge and improve your symptoms and quality of life through different treatment modalities.
