As a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring ideals from both the medical and nursing models of care in a holistic approach. My background as a nurse was seven years of acute care. I was an Emergency Department and ICU nurse for seven years before I switched my focus to Mental Health. I observed first hand the deficit in mental health care and prevention, and wanted to devote my career recognition, advocating, prevention, and resources for patients with mental health needs.
