My background as a nurse was seven years of acute care. I was an Emergency Department and ICU nurse for seven years before I switched my focus to Mental Health. I observed first hand the deficit in mental health care and prevention, and wanted to devote my career recognition, advocating, prevention, and resources for patients with mental health needs.
