I am board certified in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. My background enables me to offer a medical doctor's clinical expertise and psychotherapist's unique perspective and insight. I view your physical and mental illness in an integrated way, and you will receive treatment based on both disciplines. As a medical doctor, I can prescribe psychiatric medications, as needed. My office is unique: I do not limit my practice based on constraints of patients' medical insurance, and I see my patients in a discreet office, a charming house in South Tampa's Hyde Park. I treat depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders (i.e. obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, etc.), Tourette's disorder, and ADHD and ADD. As a psychotherapist, I offer psychotherapy as needed, including in conjunction with medication. I also offer medication management for children, adolsents, and adults.
Because I am not constrained by insurance guidelines, I spend more time with each patient, and offer longer appointments than the community standard. Several other mental health providers share the house with me, but my set-up offers privacy and minimal contact between my patients and the other practitioners' patients.
