I'm a board-certified psychiatrist who accepts insurance, and I specialize in depression and anxiety, as well as how neurodivergence can affect these if present. Together, our work would focus on helping you find and equip yourself with an approach to better navigate the challenges you face, while using only the meds you truly need. I am firmly against the typical approach of throwing meds alone at problems and hoping for the best; instead, our work together would be more about identifying and building strategies that specifically address your individual needs, especially in how you navigate the negativity or stresses you face.
I believe that everyone's struggles are different, so I work to help each person recognize, reframe, & work on steps to approach these in the specific ways that work best for them. Medication also plays an important role, but I approach those with a very light touch so that you only have what you need to help with perspective, never to change who you are.
NOTE: Because we are a single-provider practice without dedicated staff for acute crisis management, we are unfortunately not a good fit if you have had recent suicidal thoughts or a recent hospitalization. We also cannot prescribe or manage cases involving stimulants (such as Adderall or Vyvanse) or Xanax/Klonipin/Ativan for regular use.
