I am an assistant professor at UMass Chan Medical School and much of my career has been working in community health clinics, splitting my time between general psychiatric and outpatient-based addiction treatment services. I have also acted as the Medical Director of Emerson Hospital’s Addictions Services and of the outpatient recovery program Right Turn, Inc.
I established my private practice to provide a more personal and accessible approach to mental health care - one where patients have direct access to their physician and feel truly seen and heard.
I practice evidence-based medicine, which includes harm-reduction approaches and medication-assisted treatment, including Suboxone (Buprenorphine). I am open to exploring the various treatment options with each client individually, in order to come up with a plan that everyone is comfortable with and that maximizes benefit and minimizes risk.
I welcome patients from all backgrounds, cultures, and family structures. I am trauma-informed and experienced in treating complex cases, including dual diagnoses and psychiatric concerns during pregnancy and postpartum. My goal is to meet each patient with professionalism, empathy, and respect, while supporting them in reaching their treatment goals.
