I have been working as a Nurse Practitioner since 2023. I believe that every patient is different and deserves to have individualized and competent care. As a woman of color, I would love to provide culturally competent care to other minorities I am well-versed with dual-diagnosis patients who have both substance use disorder as well as any mental health disorders.
I believe in meeting patients where they are at in that moment. I believe in looking at someone as a whole and trying to treat the patient in their entirety.
I like my patients to be comfortable with me and feel like they can tell me anything, as that is the best way to get someone the treatment they need and deserve. I want patients to be their authentic selves, and not water down their language or gestures or anything that makes them who they are during our sessions.
