Welcome. Thoughtful Psychiatry is a group of psychiatric providers devoted to providing a "thoughtful" approach to psychiatric care. The practice consists of multiple psychiatric prescribers that have extensive training in psychotherapy. While we believe that medications can be very helpful, we insist on providing more than medication for our patients.

Marcela has a Bachelors in Science from University of Miami, and earned her MSN Family Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University. She has been in Emergency Medicine for 10 years, and also works as a Neurology Nurse Practitioner. Marcela's goal at BNBA is to make her patients feel like they can always reach out, and to make them feel their very best. Marcela loves to travel and Florida Gator Football- Go Gators!

Dr. Love, a Psychiatrist at Aster Mental Health, specializes in treating individuals with depressive disorders, bipolar spectrum disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, OCD, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and substance use disorders. He is a Board-certified & Harvard-trained Psychiatrist offering medication management as well as psychiatric assessment and treatment.

Dr. Esteban Toledo-Carrion is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with over 14 years of experience. He was born and raised in Ecuador and completed his medical training in his home country, where his interest and commitment to helping diverse populations began.

Throughout my career I have successfully treated people with symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and ADHD. I enjoy the collaboration with other treating providers such as psychotherapists and primary care providers in maximizing the benefits of psychopharmacological treatment. I am accepting new patients at this time. I offer medication management in combination with cognitive behavioral therapy via telemedicine. I utilize traditional medicine with complementary and alternative medicine. I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, graduated from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. My experience is over 16 years providing patient care for adults, and the elderly at the inpatient acute psychiatric units and, outpatient mental health setting. I have worked with integrated behavioral health primary care clinics, community, and federal qualified health centers, and private practices.

Dr. Arcia is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry. She obtained her MD degree from the University of Coimbra (Portugal). Thereafter, she completed an internship in Internal Medicine, before pursuing residency training in Psychiatry at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (Brighton, MA), where she also served as Chief Resident in Psychiatry. She has over 13 years of clinical experience in both in-patient and out-patient treatment of patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders, especially in patients with medical comorbidities. She is also certified in electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) by Cornell University.

I accept all MassHealth/ private insurance (some still pending) and can offer Same Day or Next Day appointments for new patients. Open dialogue is very important between myself and my patients. I want you to feel that you can bring any problem to me and, if I am not able to address it, I will help assist you in finding someone who can. It is important that there be honesty within the relationship so that I may best assist you, this includes being vocal about relapses so that we may work together to get past it. I want there to be a safe space where the patient can communicate all their needs without scrutiny or judgement.

I am a board-certified English/Spanish bilingual psychiatric nurse practitioner treating mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, bipolar disorder and PTSD. Skilled in assessment, diagnosis and medication management through evidence-based care for safe and effective outcomes, I build targeted and individualized treatment plans for patients while providing therapeutic support and a willingness to collaborate with therapists for mutual patients. Throughout more than eight years of experience, I’ve provided patient care across a variety of settings, including ER care, inpatient psychiatry and outpatient psychiatry.

Katherine brings a humanistic approach to her practice. She uses her background in primary care medicine as well as psychiatry to provide compassionate and client-focused care, and to meet the needs of each patient as individuals. Katherine’s clinical experience is broad and includes adult medicine, geriatrics, community health, and college health. Katherine provides medication therapy using evidence-based practice, which include micro-dosing strategies for care tailored to individual needs.

After working in several outpatient and inpatient facilities for almost two decades, I’ve developed a holistic approach in managing clients. I offer mental health management for individuals across the lifespan. These services include initial psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, second-opinions, and medication management for disorders including anxiety, trauma, mood and psychotic disorders.
