At an early age, I began to enjoy working with children and adolescents, and that passion led me to becoming a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. I have worked with clients from many different background experiences, cultures, and family systems. My work centers around helping children and adolescents with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, other behavior disorders, psychotic disorders, school and peer issues, and family conflict. At this time, I'm only providing treatment for children and adolescents who are less than 18 years old.
I've worked in different health systems and agencies as well as at different levels of care, such as inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, and community mental health. These experiences have helped me understand how to help meet a child and family's needs. I use my past experiences and knowledge to enhance the lives of my clients and families.
There is great potential for improvement in all of us. I can help tap into that potential with a thorough assessment and ongoing treatment if needed. I'm also the type of Child Psychiatrist who doesn't solely rely on medications and likes to incorporate alternative strategies, since not everyone needs them.
