I have had the privilege of working with patients for the last 20 years struggling with psychiatric problems. I am living in Colorado since 2019 and l am licensed in Colorado and California. For 10 years I was working overseas treating patients from all over the world. Many patients suffered for years with an awareness that things were sub-optimal only to realize, after receiving care, that they could have felt better long before if they had sought professional help. Optimal care entails knowing that your provider is an expert, that they care about you as a person, and maintaining continuity over time to achieve results.

Welcome. I am Susan Joshua MD, a psychiatrist who cares about your needs. I have 35 years experience in the field of adult psychiatry. I bring my skills and expertise, with an open heart, to help you with your current challenges and choices. We will use a comprehensive, integrative and holistic approach. An environment of care, support, and partnership will be created in order to assist you on your journey through challenging and chaotic times. We start with what needs attention today to address your immediate needs and goals. In doing so we will assess medication needs, therapy focus and lifestyle choices.

My specialties include, but not limited to PTSD, GAD, Depression, TBI, ADHD, Mood Disorders, Substance Abuse, Behavioral Health Courts, and serve as an expert witness in many Mental Health Areas. I have created a safe environment for all my patients to access care, to include a comprehensive telehealth program.

I am a dual certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. I have been in practice since 2011. I work with children, adolescents and adults and offer medication management services as well as therapy. My focus is working with attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), depression, anxiety, mood disorders and other behavioral conditions. I am also uniquely specialized to treat women during pregnancy, postpartum and pre-menopausal stages. I have 2 in-person office locations in the Denver area and also conduct visits via telemedicine.

My mission is to provide wise, thoughtful, and meaningful care that will serve my patients to the best of my ability, always endeavoring to promote health, a sense of contentment, and joy whenever possible. Investigation and discovery were a part of my childhood and are integral to my person. The scope and content of my vision is directly a result of continuous exploration and desire to reflect on experience. My curiosity about the world and its people has been nourished by a liberal arts education and playing Division I Ice Hockey at Dartmouth, by extensive travel, and by working in a multitude of cross cultural clinical settings
