I graduated from the University of Texas Arlington and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health NP. I am delighted to serve patients from preteen to older adults. I am experienced in treating patients with ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, insomnia, substance use disorders among other disorders. I work closely with my patients to finding the best evidence based medication and psychotherapy modalities.

Mental illness is a shrouded enemy that often unveils itself only when those plagued by it, reach a breaking point. Left untreated, mental illness will permeate work, home and social environments, destroying confidence, hope, ambitions, and any sense of purpose. As I've navigated mental health treatment, I've witnessed first hand the insufferable pain, untreated mental illness can cause on patients' lives. JaShunta “Jai” Carson Is a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. In addition to her clinical experience, Ms. Carson’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, a Master’s of Science in Environmental Science and Rural Occupational Health from the University of Alabama, as well as second Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and finally a second Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

I am not currently accepting new patients I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide medication management and mental health care for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, eating disorders, relationship issues and adjustment to life changes. I have worked with patients from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of mental health challenges. I help to identify goals and a treatment plan to address each individual's needs. I have prescriptive authority and follow evidence-based practice.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Washington.
